IMPORTANT NOTE:

Anyone trying to donate bedkits on the SCAW website for the past
couple of days has been unable to do. There was a server upgrade at
our Internet Service Provider last week that prevented our secure
services from working. Therefore, we have instituted our own secure
server and, as of today, it is operational.

All aspects of the website should be working fine now; however, if you
come upon an error after today, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Many people help us by buying bedkits online. We've seen the use of
our website grow since we first set up Online Donations several years
ago. However, besides donating bedkits, you can help spread the word
about our charity by buying items on our Shopping Page.

You will not receive a bedkit photo or a tax receipt but, since all
the items (calendars, cards, and books) have already been paid for by
benefactors, the entire amount of your purchase goes to help buy
bedkits. Another way that Sleeping Children continues to be the 100%

Three more countries in 2009
=======================
Sleeping Children Around the World is sending out four more teams
before the end of 2009, the Year of the Millionth Bedkit. For the
first time, the distributions to Bangladesh will be handled by two
separate teams instead of one team. They left for Bangladesh
yesterday. At the end of the month, another team goes to Nicaragua.

After the typhoon floods in the Philippines, we received an emergency
request for bedkits from Dr. Ito Torres, our contact there. Therefore,
a SCAW team will be distributing 4,000 bedkits in the Philippines at
the end of November.

Christmas bedkit deadline extended
=============================
Because we have a team in the Philippines at the end of November, we
are able to receive Christmas bedkit orders till the end of October
this year and, if all goes well, your gift recipients should receive
